what species does well with clowns

I would assume a peaceful community, but then i've seen that bigger clowns can fit right in with an aggressive crowd too some degree. I had an angel fish that would pick on anything introduced to the tank. I put a 2" clown in, and he shut up. lol

so hoping to hear good and bad stories of clowns and other species comboed

What size tank? Lots of space can calm fighting fish down.. I have a decent size royal gramma and they do fine together - there was a little bit of a standoff when I first introduced the gramma, but now they get along fine. Also - gobies. They stay near the bottom and my clowns could care less....

gobies, grammmas, blennies seem to hang below the radar and not **** the clowns off.....

I have seen the most aggression towards pygmy angelfish, small tangs, and of course damsels.
