what streams for a 3 ft tank

I've been looking over your products and they seem really good with alot of options which is the reason for this thread. I'm looking over 6055's and 6105's and nano wavebox, etc.. There are alot of options here so I'm looking for suggestions.

The tank is around 36"x18"x21" or something like that which is 57 or 58 gallons. I want ALOT of flow and also random flow but I mostly want the flow to be excessive for lack of a better word.

My budget is about $550 for this part of my setup. What suggestions on pump configurations do you guys have? Thanks.

A few configurations I've been messing with:

2 x 6055, safety connector, Y connector, 7091 controller = ~$620 ~2900 gph

simple easy answer that is over budget and not the amount of flow i'm after. i do like the idea of being able to control 2 pumps though. i thought i could switch one of the 6055's out for a 6045 which would save me like $120 on the pump plus the $43 on the Y connector

6055, 6045, 7091, safety connector = ~$450 ~2600 gph

so now i'm way under budget, which isn't such a bad thing.... but I'm losing some flow which is a bad thing. I could just add another 6045 or replace the existing 6045 with a 6085 or i could bump the 6055 up to a 6105.

6055, 2x 6045, 7901, safety connector = ~$560 ~3800 - now we're getting somewhere but now i have 3 pumps and only one is controllable, which feels like it wouldn't be worth it.

6055, 6085, 7901, safety connector = ~$520 ~3500 - a little less flow but still the smaller pump is the controllabel one so it seems like a waste

6105, 6045, 7901, safety connector = ~$545 - ~4600 - lots of flow (yes!) and the more powerful one is going to be making the 'waves' - this seems like the best option at the moment - however it isn't going to give me very many options as far as direction goes which is important

Other configurations I was considering was a nano wavebox and 2 6045s which would give me 2400 plus whatever the wavebox spit out for about $600 but then my corals get that nice wave motion in the tank which is (or isn't) just as effective as having lots more flow (not completely sure). Anyways, srry for working this out here but I figured this would be the best place to do it and i was hoping to get a comment or two. Thanks again.

How about a 6206 and a 6055 and later add the safety connector and 7091 or even better the 7096?

hrm.. interesting idea.. more questions

the 6206 comes with a controller though, right?

could I get a Y connector and connect the 6055?

Also how much flow does the 6206 put out when its on?

Can a 6105 make a wave in the tank?

6206 comes with a 6091 which is a wave controller. The most effective flow is to have a wave in combination with a directional flow, the only controller we have that can do both is 7096. It would not be an effective use of the 6055's. The pumps alone could generate a wave with right controller, however the displacement of the box magnifies the effect so a minimum of two pumps is required to produce an equal size wave.
