I just ordered my new tank light.

It is a hamilton 72" 3mh 4t5 fixture

The mh are 250w Radiums

I am thinking of getting 2x Blue+ and 2x Coral+

I am not sure though what is the best combo and am looking for some opinions.

If i where you,i'd go with two actinics and two blue plus.
That would make corals pop a little. But i like the tank look on the blue side,so i guess personal taste is important too.
Just my 02 cents;)

I've been running UVL super actinic and ATI blue plus with my Pheonix for a long time. Love the combo for color and growth.

I have the same fixture if it's the Cebu Hamilton. I ran 250w Radium/Giesemann(3)Actinic Plus (1)Aqua Pink this past year and was very happy with growth and color. I'm not an sps expert but the little frags I bought grew into mini colonies. I just changed my bulbs this weekend to the new Giesemann (1)Super Actinic (1) Super Purple (2) Actinic blue.

I use radium plus T5's, the radium's are high at 450nm but kinda low in the 420nm area. So I suggest 2 actinics and 2 blue+ or 1 blue+/1 coral+

The T5's with your fixture are mainly just for actinic for the MH. The bulbs that come with it aren't bad, but if i was going to change, i would get 2 actinic and 2 blue+. Coral plus is really not needed. Your using the MH to grow your corals and the T5 is just supplementation.

Agree this is where I ended up and the corals look much better with actinic light.

Well maybe Ill just use 2 of the actinics that come with the fixture and get 2x Blue Plus from ATI. That way next year I can just get 2x blue+ again and put the two actinics I took out of the fixture.

The bulbs that come with it peak at 460 which is the same as the Blue plus. You will want to get true actinic that peaks at the 420.

I have had great success with Giesemann POWERCHROME Actinic Plus T5s paired with Radiums (400s, not 250s)
