What temperature halides do you use?

I'm using 2 x 400W 10K SE XMs, with 2 x 54W T5 actinics. I love the 'sunny' look of 10K XMs, but may go for 12K bulbs next time 'round to get just a little more blue - the T5s aren't quite enough.

I have 4 x 250w SE 14K Coral Vue bulbs on my 135g. They have a great color, produce good growth and are on the inexpensive side:) I have a single DE 10K Aqualine on my 30g. It is a bit too white for my taste, but that is what came with the fixture.

250w DE AB 10K, but switching over to 12k Reeflux in a few days. The AB 10Ks are just a little too white for me, even with actinics.
I have 150w 10K Aqualine Abs. I really like them, but I wanted to get as much growth as I could and I dont care as much for the blue look.

So far I'm the only one who uses 10000Ks. That's surprising.

Do you have hair algae problems?

I have a 20000k bulb on one end of the tank and a 10000 on the other and hair algae is growing everywhere the light touches on the 10000 side.

But then, its getting close to bulb replacement time.

Sepeku - No, I have no algae at all except for the halimeda I put in there on purpose. My pictures always make my tank look dimmer than it is.
