I have been reading all over this forum learned a lot.
but today I come across the selling forum.
lots of fraq packs for sale?
how are these attached?
I am assuming these are starter corals?
but I dont see any thread telling how to start them out
how to attach them nothing.

All depends on what corals they are. A frag pack is exactly that a package of different coral frags (or cuttings).

A frag is a fragment of a coral, not a complete coral or colony. If it is a zoa frag, it usually has a few polyps (2,3,5, 10, etc.) and it is usually stated how many polyps of that frag are included. In my opinion, frag packs are good to start with if you have a small tank (29 gallons or less), otherwise they get lost in the tank. Most frags come attached to some type of plug or tile, but always ask the seller, just in case. Ricordeas are sometimes unattached. You can attach frags with the crazy glue type of glue or epoxy. Most people use Loctite Gel and/or Aquamend putty - both sold at Home Depot, Lowes or any other hardware store.

will talk to the lfs about this one.
THere is a huge saltwater store nearby and they have some people that are helpful.
was also wondering if the frag packs are a good deal online.
as long as its overnited of course.

thanks

They can be a good deal. My suggestion is to ask whatever you want to ask at the local fish store, then ask again on this forum BEFORE buying anything. Once you are familiar with this site long enough you will be sure to hear some "doosies" from many local fish stores! Maybe someone has one of those threads handy...

Frag pack can be a good deal online, but you can also find people selling "rare" corals that are anything but. In addition, many people photoshop their pics to saturate the colors, or make them look much more vibrant than they really are. Try to find sites that are reputable, and you can ask people on here as well. FYI, I live in Sacramento and www.yourreef.com is a great place. The store is located here, I've been to the store itself and seen firsthand what they stock. They would be able to take care of you. And if anyone from yourreef reads this feel free to give me a discount next time....haha. j/k.
