What the heck is this ????

Hi all. Well today I shut my pump off for about 1/2 hours. when I came back to turn it back on I noticed hundreds of these little white balls up at the surface. They were spread out in a circular shape with a vortex in the center. The vortex kept swirling up and down. I did notice that these little things seemed to have a tiny tail on them as they moved around.

Any one know what this could be ?????????????

NO SORRY... I SURE DIDNT.... THEY WERE ALL GONE IN ABOUT 1.5 HOURS.... BUT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR IT TO HAPPEN AGAIN AND WHEN IT DOES IM GONNA SCOOP A BUNCH OF THE IN A CUP AND ISOLATE THEM IN ANOTHER TANK.....
