what to do when gone

Hey
What does every one do if they take a few days, or a week off.
Do you have a fish sitter ( been looking for one )
auto feeders, not to good for inverts and such.
I have some that eat live food

just woundering

Do you have anything that really needs feedings? Inverts can certainly scrounge around for food for a few days or a week.

Best way to go is a fish sitter, if anything happens to go wrong you can have them call you to rectify the problem (see attached photo of my return from a week and a half gone last summer)

I have some one come every other day.. follow instructions on the paper- check a few things..., and get my mail :)

I had a fish sitter when I was breeding clowns, but the reef does fine with a weekly visit for top off. If I get my auto top off running I wouldn't really need anyone and would just add one of my old cheap autofeeders. It is always nice to have someone poke their head in and make sure things are ok though. Had 2 pumps die when I was gone last summer that would have killed my spawning pairs of clarks and black ocellaris ($1000 worth of broodstock), but my tank sitter caught it and saved them.

I was gone for three weeks straight last summer. I had one of my parents or my brother stop by every other day during the work week and feed the fish and top the water off with gallon jugs that I had pre-made before I left.
