i have a mated pair of Gold Bar/Striped Maroon clowns.. (in fact they spawned twice within the last 6 weeks)

but they are very abusive and destructive..
1: constantly digs up the sand (although adding a nem had cut that down)
2: everytime i move or add something to the tank they totally tackle it and moves it.
3: drawn blood a few times
and the list goes on..

i really like them but sometimes they stress me out. i got into the hobby to relieve stress... i know i'm complaining but what should i do.. removed i'm going to transfer everything into a 120g Tech tank with in the next month so i'm weighing my options..

you input is greatly appreciated...

quite possible that they will settle down in a 120... I would give it a shot and remove them later if they don't.

My black o. clowns are very similar. No quite as bad, but very aggressive and will nip at me when I put my hand in. I doubt they will be any better in the larger tank even if you add them in last.

Hat to say it, but if they stress you out, get rid of them IMO. There are plenty of fish in the sea.

I have the same pair of clown. Never seen them spawn.. and yes these Freakin clown is aggressive, bited me hundred of time, knock things around... I do have to said that these Female Clown is very Strong for it size, it Can move a BIG azz rock 5x it size. These clown is pretty smart, and you will never catch them if you put it in a big Tank. Speaking from my personal experience. I did all kind of stuff, starve them, fish trap, trying to catch them at night etc... Of course I have to ended up taking the tank down b4 I can catch them. there u have it.. GOOD LUCK Brother...

My clown Molly did that too in a 29g, but when she is in the 135 she has calmed down alot. In fact sometimes I can get her to eat out of my fingers.....(and no she isn't biting me LOL)

i have a mated pair of clowns and i have to keep them in a separate system due to their aggressive behavior they have severely wounded any fish that comes close to their eggs.
