What to do with my MEAN wrasse

I added a Decorated Wrasse to my DT in August. He quickly started terrorizing all the other fish in my tank. After he pecked my YLN to death and ruthlessly murdered my Red Headed Solon fairy, i took the WHOLE tank apart to get him out. I put him in my (unlighted) sump because i did not need him wreaking havoc in my QT which had other fish at the time and had nowhere else to put him. The sump's only other inhabitant was a large Mithrax crab that is now almost 3".

He spent 4 months in the sump (Jail?) (i opened the doors during the day to let the light in). Yesterday i moved him back to the QT where he is with 3 moody blue chromis that he hasn't seemed to bother. I have a sheet over the tank since he was in the dark for such a long time...

Despite all of his shenanigans, he is a nice looking wrasse and i enjoy watching him....

Do I:
1) Leave him in QT and never ever ever let him back in the DT.
2) Try introducing him to the DT again in a few months (is it possible he will be more peaceful and communal if he is the last fish introduced?)
3) Put him back in the sump to live out his days and add a little light and maybe some macro?
4) other options?

I am pretty sure #2 is not a good option, but if anyone has experience that says my odds of him reentering my society as a rehabilitated peaceful and friendly guy might be good..... LMK if i'm crazy.

your thoughts appreciated!

Had the same experience with a 1" six-line. What an unbelievable monster. It was astonishing to see it utterly terrorize everything in the tank, corals, inverts, even a sailfin tang 15, maybe 20 times more massive. Had to tear every single last piece of rock out to catch it and send back to a lfs. I've never tried any kind of wrasse since.

I had a ruby head that did the same thing. It tormented all fish, killed 2 lyretail anthias, and if my mystery wrasse saw him coming he quickly went the opposite direction. It took me 15 min to catch him with a fish trap and sent him packing.
