What to do???

I would think the crabs and snails would be too small to infect the new thank, but I'm not 100% sure of that.

But, if you transfer the crabs/snails while it's cycling, they probably won't make it through the cycle.
 
Sorry I misunderstood. Yea wait until the tank is finished cycling then do a water change. Wait 24 hours check parameters. If eyerything is OK then add crabs & snails. Wait a week, check parameters again. Depending on your results, if things are high -water change, if there OK - then you can add your feathers dusters and other stuff( if they are still alive). Try to keep as much of the old water out when acclimating them to the new tank. The drip method works best.
 
Test kits should be one of the first things you purchase when setting you your tank. It's nice to do a few tests and know what going on with your water quality.
