What to feed my Mantis

I know he's a basher but so far he's not eating anything what should I try to feed him. This is my first try with mantis shrimp so I'm a newbie at this please help.

He should eat soon. Mine didn't eat for a day or so but after that he ate everything I gave him and then some.

Mine (wennerae) won't eat hermits - I think he'll take snails, he went after a huge turbo I had in there for cleaning. Have since replaced turbo for astrea, but astrea is stying to the top of tank.

Right now I have him (mantis) eating tiger shrimp from the grocery store - I freeze it and cut off with knife / razor. I put the shrimp on a wood skewer and the mantis (I'm calling him The Colonel) attacks!

I have always had good luck with Krill. Also if your mantis gets hungry enough he will take out some of the other residents. If you are feeding him every day that could be why he hasn't gone on a killing spree.
