What to feed trumpet.

My trumpet has responded well to brine shrimp. I feed them in the early morning with a turky baster before the lights come on and the teticales are still out. Now if I feed my fish brine shrimp during the day the trumpet will open up and want to be feed.

I feed mine a mix of Mysis, DT's live, Brine, Cyclopeze, golden pearls and zooplankton mixed togather and fed with a turkey baster

Trumpets a.k.a Candy Coral will eat almost anything, even flake food, they dont need constant feedings, just light alone should keep them alive, here are some pics of mine...I never feed them but they might catch some passing food

Just a side note, brine shrimp have about the nutritional equivalence to a rice cake. May make a turd, but thats it :( Next time your restocking your foods scip the brine and go for the mysis, slightly bigger, but huge difference in nutritional value ;)

I've got a healthy *pod population in my tank and I think the corals get enough "natural" food at night ...

this morning I noticed that my trumped had somehow captured a bristle worm - the tail was still sticking out of the mouth. What a meal!

Joshua was on target when he offered chopped cocktail shrip.... My trumpet became soo large on cocktail shrip I had to sell it off because it took over the tank....

COCKTAIL SHRIMP finely chopped

once a week i mash up a cube of mysis and squirt it on my lps corals 1 hour after lights off. My trumpet and candy cane seem to like it.
