what to use for base rock?

Can you all tell me what you use for base rock? Is this something I have to buy at the LFS or can I get it at home depot? Can I use Lava rock?

i used dead rock from the lfs and also have alot of live rock as well ....

I use lacerock. Looks very good and comes in great shapes and does't look bumb in the tank. Also colors up really easy.

I was told not to use lava rock because it can contain metals which will leach into the saltwater. Most LFS carry baserock pretty cheap and I've also heard of people using limestone.

Most lfs should sell it. Google image it and you'll get some pictures.
