What to use for flow in a 270 tank?

I am planning my 2nd 270 in wall veiwable from front and back this time and was wanting to get away from the closed loops. The tank is 7'x2'x31"tall with overflows on both ends. Or maybe 1 large overflow on 1 end depending on what you think will work best for my set up for flow. The tank is not ordered so it can be made however.

The ends of the tank are recesed within the wall so I wanted to mount a wavebox or streams beside the overflows so they are hidden from the veiwing area also. I was thinking about having the overflows built with 6-8 inches short of being wall to wall as a nice spot to mount my flow devices but am clueless as to how a wavebox works and if it can point to the other side of the tank with another end overflow even. I have no experience with Tunze but have always read great things about them so what would you recomend for this set up? Also I plan on this being mainly an SPS set up if that matters. Thanks!

 I actually read the other guys thread and thought Roger told me to go with the TS24's :) I went into detail about a few other ?'s only to realize I posted on the wrong thread!

I would place the overflow in the center on one end, it would have to be aimed down the length of the tank. The main concern I would have with this configuration is that the flow through the overflow not be extremely high, if you will have high flow (more than about 1000gph) you should have a second overflow on the opposite end since the overflow will not get any water when the wave is away from the overflow box.

Hmmm, so the box actually will make the side overflow not get water for the length the wave is going away... So wouldn't my durso suck air and make a flushing splashy sound not to mention the constant burping on the sump end? I can and was planning 2 overflows but I see this as being a problem if I am picturing it right. So if the wave is traveling twords a overflow will it just shoot a wave right over the overflow and flood the overflow? I was planning about 1,600 GPH through the overflows but can back that down if I need to so I can get some cool waves flowing. I have another magnetic wave device and have not been real pleased with my results from it.

Would the TS24 give me the same results or more flow like a powerhead? Thanks!

Yes, the overflow will starve and flood and the key is to keep a low enough flow going through that it doesn't use its reserve in the split second that it has no water. The only way to avoid this is a center overflow but usually it works well enough with the configuration you have described just so long as the turnover through the overflow isn't really high. The TS24 flow would be a wide directional flow, more like a powerhead.
