I have a 76G Half Circle tank, with a 20G sump. I have 9 fish, and plenty of coral (see list below). Right now, I am dripping Kalkwasser every three days or so, dose Iodine and Coral-Vite once a week, and using Snow twice a week. Is this too much, not enough, or ok. I would like to add calcium a different way than dripping Kalk.

Fish -
(2) Green Chromis
(1) Clarki Clown
(1) Sharp Nosed Puffer
(1) Foxface
(1) Zebra Angel
(1) Copperband Butterfly - like 2 days new
(1) Yellow Watchman

Coral -
- Torch Coral
- Candy Coral
- Purple Tip Elegance
- Green Monitpora - Medium Frag
- Cup Coral
- Yellow Leather
- Toadstool
- Spaghetti Leather - 2
- Devils Hand
- Finger Leather
- Rock with ~30 mushrooms and green star polyps

Any help would be apprecaited. Thanks.

Are you testing for everything you are adding? It is best not to add anything unless you can accurately test for its concentrations. Honestly, you would probably do fine just adding a balanced calcium supplement (kalkwasser, two part solutions, etc.), along with regular water changes. Out of experience (and some emerging research) I question the usefulness of the product marine snow (granted, the real thing is extremely important), as well as trace element supplements like CoralVite.

Well, I don't really test a whole lot, just because I do regular water changes and everything seems to look ok, as far as the looks of the coral and fish. Until now, I never put anything in except foe kalkwasser, and everything seemed ok. I just have a bigger tank now, and a few more coral, so I didn't know if I should continue using the CoralVite, Snow, etc. I might look at another way to do calcium though. The coral seems to respond so much better to the MH lights than the PC lights that I had before.
