i am setting up a bb sps system ,,3*2*2 i dont want to use crapy seios nore a close loop ,,thinking of starting out with a 6060 or a 6080 ,then maybe down the road as the system need more flow getting a controlable kit in about 5 or 6 months ,,,,sound good ? get the 6060 or the 6080 what do you think

A 6000 would be perfect. In my opinion it makes no sense to spend $130 on something for 6 months, get the right one at the start.

i am goin to be using the 6060 or the 6080 with the 6000 with the controler after the system needs it ,,my ? was should i get the 6060 or the 6080 ,,? start with ,,down the road i will be adding the 6000 w/c on the other side of the tank,,thanks for your time

fragman - the 6060 packs a powerful punch, which is great if you're buliding an SPS tank. Have you seen one operating in a 3' tank b4? I was strongly discouraged to use one in my 100X50X50cm (about the same size as your new one - a little shorter and less wide but longer than a 3',) as like you was going to add another stream and a controller later - so I was talked into using a few Maxijet 1200's on a simple wavemaker 'light strip' in the end. Was told the streams are great in tanks at 4' or greater in length - but that's just one opinion. let us know how it works out.

i hear what you are saying Barry Hallocks but i have seen a 6060 in action in a 55 rubbermaid prop tank and yes it is a lot of flow but it is a gentle flow not a blasting one like the maki jet ,,i have felt the flow wiht my hand as well ,,and yes my system is going to be all sps for the most part ,,look at the watts wiht the maxi vers the tunze ,,i can add 2 6060 and that adds up to the watts of 1 maxi jet almost 12 time the flow ,,,got to like that ,,trust me you should have got the tunze ,,,try to find some one that has one so you can feel the flow ,,trust me you will be suprized ,,
