What type of algae is this?

So when I bought this frogspawn a while back it had this algae on it. Thought nothing of it but as time went on about a month the strands got longer then started having green fluffy algae in between, pretty much started to look like a green wig. But it also became home to a lot of my pods. Last water change, a week ago I decided I was going to get rid of it since it was starting to overtake my frogspawn. Took it out of my tank after shaking off all the pods I could and started ripping it off in the bucket of water I siphoned out. Got almost all of it off. Now a week later the green stands are starting to sprout on my rocks all around the tank and on the frogspawn again. What is it and what can I get that will control it? Only fish I have right now is a coral beauty and he does not touch them.

I'm having the same problem on my tank. I heard that rising the Mg up to 1600ppm helps kill it. Anybody has experience with this method?

Apparently elevated mag has to be done with the Kent mag. Something in it kill byropsis.

I've had this issue in the past, but it's gone now.
Not sure what I did exactly that fixed it.
Only thing I ever did was add some emerald crabs and snails, brush the crap out of the rocks with a toothbrush as well as manual removal, then turn the lights off for a few days.

Ugh guess I should buy a test kit for Mag. I also read that Emerald Crabs work, I read about someone actually putting his frags and the crabs in a container and the crabs went to town on the bryopsis. Maybe my emerald crab did die a few weeks ago and that wasn't a molt because I have not seen him since.
