What type of worm is this

This guy has a hard shell that is fixated to a pavona. The shell meanders at least 2 inches. The front end looks like he has some sort of flap with an eye-like design.

Any ideas?

It might be a Vermetid snail.

I believe you're right. It's pretty massive compared the the typical ones I've become accustomed to.
