what up rams

I was just about to type a thread about these dang Sicce pumps. Do you really think your pump is that quite? I can't tell the difference between this thing and a mag drive. Hell I had 4 mag7s lying around. What do you think about yours?

How the cube goes? getting ready to make some water change water. Looking for a good deal on a Radion. Wishing my water quality was ready to go find me an aiptasia bull dog. :lol:

Hey do you know where to get some of that foam the bigger mag drives come with? That black peice single sided sticky foam to quite a pump down/// reef safe?
 
i noticed when i get home and everything is off i can here the pump but kind of combo between skimmer and return pump. I usually have a hepa filter running in living room which levels noise out so not bad unless its quiet. i might find a used mag 7 so i can try it out and compare.
 
Are you using the small rubber knobs on the bottom of the pump or the suction cups. I think a lot of my noise is coming from the vibration against the acrylic sump bottom and side wall. I have the rubber knobs on the bottom of the pump. Took the suction cups to between the pump and wall. A little more quite. I would like to find the foam stuff mag-drive supplies with their bigger pumps.
 
Are you still in love with your Radion? best thing since sliced refracotmeters. :lol:

I've seen some amazing tanks running them for over a year.
 
sorry dave but i love the radions they are awesome. rams i'm using the knobs right now but gonna try something different.
 
got my dual BRS reactor setup today ordered new style cartridges for reactor and some gfo and double order of ro/di replacement filters and couple bags of di resin. Got some filter socks so i can swap out every week and clean out old socks. Need to get off my butt and move some leathers out those things shed alot and leave bunch of junk floating around.
 
we don't run the AC much during the spring... I guess a good controller would be my friend. I just threw a halide on the tank now to see how much I missed it.

Maybe it's my ac but I have never had problems with heat. I ran 650w's of mh over a 58.

My fan is on the controller now but it never turns on. What temp is everybody trying to accomplish when they talk about overheating issues?
