Thought Id set up a little story time session regarding the fish you added to your tank and later regretted for having done so(we've all dealt with it ) to the point where you nearly fished him out and fried him up :blown:

For me, my old Hoeven's wrasse 'Dexter' would be a shoo in for this title. This guy was satan in finned form. He annihilated the entire population of snails (no matter their size), beat my veteran cleaner shrimp to a pulp (didn't even eat him, just left him for dead), slaughtered my possum wrasse and harassed my royal pencil wrasse to the point of starvation. Not only that, but he would bite my hand every time I stuck it into the tank, hogged every last bit of food Id toss in and would severely harass any new addition (wrasse or otherwise). When I finally won the war and relieved my reef of it's resident serial killer I took him down to the store where I worked where he had a 3,500 gallon reef display, unfortunately though my boss decided to sell him off to a customer instead where he killed every last fish in his new home, including a large heraldi angel who was the dominant fish of this tank. Not really sure where he is now, probably living it up in the gulf somewhere running the local mob :bum:

So what about you guys? Who was your unforgettable nightmare fish? :uzi:

Another wrasse vote here.
I had a Halichoeres leucoxanthus that was just gorgeous, but ate four shrimp to the tune of a hundred bucks in the blink of an eye. (2 Cleaners, 2 Fire/Blood)

Mine was a bicolor dotty back we added a new fire fish to the tank and she bullied him into a little cave until he starved to death we then later added a cleaner shrimp and of course he tried to kill and eat it so we tried to catch him and he was fast and couldn't catch him so we took the tank almost apart and finally caught it and gave it to back to the LFS were it terrorized that tank until he finally sold it.

Mine was a pair of Domino damsels. Those were my first fish back in 93, and I was pretty young and didn't know any better.

Titan triggerfish I used to cycle a 180g, meanest fish I have ever seen. Would try and attack me if I put my hand in the tank even if he was eating, he would actively hunt my hand down to bite me. Needless to say you get bit by a trigger once and you don't let it happen again

I've saw videos of them attacking divers in the wild so that doesn't surprise me.

Tie between a Sohal Tang and a Three-Stripe Damsel. Former cleared its tank of every other fish; latter would have done so as well except I did hook it!

My 10+ year old, 5" maroon clown draws blood every time I put my hand in the tank. It actually removes entire chunks of skin from my knuckles and fingers. I now have to do all my maintenance when the lights are off and the clown is less likely to be out.

freakin' impulse buy dottyback. now i have an orange spotted goby with no tail. none. zip. nada. not just the fin. i mean NO TAIL!

the dottyback lived in johnike's sump till the fish gods called it home. or something. ;)

Mine was an Orchid Dotty back that harassed everything until my female clown put it in its place.

Now it seems to be my Red Head Goby. Kills snails and harasses my other Gobys. Its time for it to get a new home >.<

Mine was also a very large maroon clown fish. Would grab huge coral colonies and drop them down in the sand.probably cost me 500 plus in dead corals!
