What were the hottest frags at the swap?

Birdsnests. there were thousands of them:)


There was a few super pink birdsnest that went fast, like the first bonus rd they were gone and also Karls candle light went super fast:( Thats the one i wanted:(
 
All the Aussie Acans were gone by the time I got to em. There were still some real good things left on the 4th round though.
 
I got a super cool, HUGE hunk of Green Slimer. Been wanting to try it again after losing my first one to the heat last year. Thank you very much to the very generous reefer!!
 
I don't know what was cool in SPS and maybe I got kind of common stuff....but I LOOOOOOOVVVVVE it! I got an awesome frogspawn, a huge Pink Pulsing zenia (I've always wanted one), Clove Polyps, a nice toadstool leather, and red center w/ green skirt zoas. I got an unexpected hitchiker though. A baby brittle star. Any ideas on how to lure him out of his clump of zoas?

I went over to John's place after the swap figuring I'm placing a bunch of frags in my tank a few more won't hurt. His place was packed.

I'm looking at the collectors corner of John's site now. I've been coveting that blue and orange cyphastra for a while now. The blue reminds me of the encrusting sponge you see in Montery. The first time I saw it I thought the rock was painted. After the new frags from the swap settle in I'm going for it.

I got 2 much awesome stuff to list some really sweet large frags of Aussie Acans at the top of of the list as well some really nice zoo's. My tank diffinatly dont look empty at all anymore!
 
I thought brittle stars were bad.....serpent stars were good.....Ohhh I'm so confuzzled!!! LOL
Ok...but if he causes trouble...I'm bringin' him to your house!!!
 
Nah brittles are good they eat left over food there just creepy lookin when they get big. Just watch out for the "Death Star" Brittle there super creapy. I think Paul has a Death Star. Ask him about it. HAHA.
 
The sand sifting stars (approx 3" dia) we gave away are known for clearing out a sand bed. In other words, they eat everything in it.

They are not a good idea for anything below 50 gal. In larger tanks a limited quantity can keep the sand bed more active.
 
I got a sweet Brown palythoa grandis! Ha,ha,ha

Actually, my best snag was a Tyree Flower Petal Monti but to top that was the labeling on the container. It was typed out a professionally done. (I'm not kidding about how the container was labeled)
 
I wish I had grabbed at least 1 green birdsnest before they were snatched in the free-for-all round. Oh well.

Anyway... I got passed on two rounds taking Emma to a mommy drop so she could get her B-ball game in... But no worries: I have a mystery birdsnest (LOVE the 'not knowing'!), multiple stag frags -- Plain I know, but I have an odd liking for stags (thanks reefnutty), a "Red Monty Cap" (sic) that was a "TIMES UP!" mystery grab... Nice typed label.

My favorite 'frag' score is top secret... Unless/until it grows. Then I'll frag it and share the love.

My favorite memory though was that Emma got to have a "job" with KMP's daughter at the swap. I love to see her feel like she's a part of something beyond her -- especially if it innoculates her into reef addiction...

Emma was a HUGE help!!! You know how chaotic it was at the front table. Couldn't have handed out the raffle tickets and organized the registration w/o her!!!! Nice "Ninja" move today....glad you made it back. And I KNOW the secret frag!!!!
 
The one and only watermelon chalice of course! That baby made it to every table, and was moved and hidden countless times. I'm not sure how Auntbeez ended up with it though. I wonder if she was jostling with me at the front of the bonus round line. I think she said she found it at the second table with the zoos.
 
Yeah I was wondering where someone had hidden it... Seemed a little strange to me! haha Yeah I was either going for that or the sunset and I ended up snagging the sunset for a fellow CRC member... The things I do... Crazy.
 
I got a beautiful Armor of God zoa :). I also got a few polyps of lunar eclipse too. There was some mystery zoa's I got that are absolutely gorgeous too.

The zoa table was really crazy too!

Wish I was able to grab a tubs blue also, but then I wouldn't have gotten the ones I got :).
