What will eat mini brittle stars?

I don't think Harlequin Shrimp would touch them...but what about bumble-bee shrimp? Or bongo shrimp?

I have both asterina and mini brittle starfish. I have mini brittle starfish in MUCH greater numbers.

I'd love to get a confirmation that bumble-bee shrimp will eat them, before I place an order.

Thanks!

How long has the tank been running? How long has this been a problem? Are you overfeeding the tank? We had a population explosion of mini stars that eventually tapered off on its own....

Don't buy a bongo shrimp just to control your brittle stars unless you plan on finding it a new home rther quickly or buying it feeder stars to keep it alive.

Are these the mini brittles that live in the rocks or the tiny ones that live in the sand? If they're the sand ones, you can pack them up and priority ship them to me. I'll even pay you.

i second the question of why you would want to get rid of them???

the mini brittle stars are no harm to your tank what so ever.. the asterina stars are 95% the same way. there are the ones out there that eat corals but the odds of you having those are very slim. manual removal is what i do. about once a week i hunt them down and manualy remove as many as i can find.

if you wanted to add a harlequin shrimp, that would survive on them for a while. BUT they would run out of food quick and you will have to start buying stars for them to munch on pretty quickly.

so with all that said, again " Why do you want to remove them??"
