There really is not a good one....They are all a PITA for telling the colors apart. I purchased a copper colorimeter because I was having a hard time telling the colors apart. Good Luck. I have been using Cupramine with a salifert kit. My colorimeter should be here is a couple weeks............

Does the cupramine give you dosing instructions so you have an idea where your copper level is, so you can use the test kit to kinda narrow it down?

Yes...the instructions are 16 drips (1ml) per 10.5 gallons wait 48 hours then repeat. That will get you to .5 treatment range.

I always tell people to add the cupramine a lot slower. If your total treatment is 10ml split it in 4 and wait 48 hours between each dose keeping a good eye on the fish making sure they are eating and acting like normal.

I used a couple of them, and wasn't happy with any the results, so the Red Sea was recommended to me and it is now my favorite. The color change and matching card are about the easiest of all of them - but it's still a PITA. It comes with some ionic copper also, so no need to buy cupramine.
