i had a very vibrant pink cocoworm... now its almost a bleached white..... what would cause this?

is there anyway to get its color back?

i was feeding it dt's but ran out for a while.

tank parms are good i just checked them last week.

if i start doing heavy doses of DT'S will its color come back?

don't dose a drop more than the recommended amount of DT's or you'll have bigger problems than a faded coco worm crop.

hmm...overdosing DT....i wonder what would really happen, if it's supposed to be "live" phytoplankton, it should take a lot to really do any harm to a tank. I culture my own and concentrate it, and i would say i use way over the recommended amount that DT prescribes. If DT is going to polute your tank or not would depend on if it's really live or not. As for your coco worm, it needs food. If it's really dear to you and you don't want to spend loads on DT, check out florida aqua farms and culturing phytoplankton

HTH.

hehe...i really don't know, i can't judge without having it in front of me and watching its behaviors. Does it retract quickly when disturbed? Is it sluggish on it's retraction?
