What would you do?

I just called Wet Pets and they stock the Marineland 150 (36X36X27). I am going to stop down this week and take a look at it. They can get the others listed above also. I didn't ask about the price on those since the 150 is $1050. I would also have to pay tax on that so I am looking at $1200 through them. I figure the tax or shipping charges from someplace else will cancel each other out. I would really like to see it in person. It's about $300 more than I planned on. I was figuring around $800. If I go this route I will have to wait a few more months.

Wow! What is the tax rate down there in Washington county?

Tax should only be $63 plus don't forget to use your PMAS 10% discount (should be about $1000 total)!!

I have seen that tank, it is nice.

Also, check around, other places may match or beat their price. When I got my 180 I compared prices at Elmer's, Wet Pets, Under the Sea and Aquaworld. Aquaworld beat everyone's price.

I just sent Jeff and email to see if he could get it.

I forgot that is Washington county. I did 7% instead of 6%. Yea that would be around 1000.

You're definitely sold on getting new?

No does not have to be new. My problem is, I am looking for a wide tank. 48 X 30 or36 or a 36 X36 cube.

Why do you say that? I have everything else I need. I am building the stand and light fixture. Only budget issues will be : Bigger tank = More corals and fish.....:D

Might pay off to be patient for a few more weeks and stuff. Once spring comes and moving season kicks in, I'd expect to see more tanks for sale here on RC and also CL.

I hear you, but it seems the biggest that I ever see are 24 front to back. I really really really have my heart set on 36", maybe settling for a 30". I am 99.99% sure I am going to get the 150 or 200 Marineland listed above.

A 200 build.

If I were in your shoes I would be all over that Marineland 200 gal. I love those dimensions. Just my opinion though.
