wondeirng what you guys feed your LPS, if at all...

i have 150 watts of 14k MH over my tank, and my torch is splitting more daily... went from 4 heads to 6 heads with 7 mouths in about a month.. i know that sometimes the move triggers a split, or it have been the upgrade from 36watts 50/50 to the new MH system about 3 weeks ago...

i have some left over frozen beef heart from when i had oscars,,, do you think the torch could eat a piece of that if i see his mouths open at night? like with a syringe or tweezers deliver a piece to the mouth? im considering it... opinions are appreciated...

Beef heart?

Beef heart?

My opinion is there is not a lot of beef heart floating around in the ocean..therefore probably not a great food for your reef, I like to feed mine mysis shrimp, I scatter some of that in the tank a few times a week and all my LPS really respond

I dose the invert smorgishborg and then I feed brine shrimp plus and then some phyto. They respong really well to the smorg. and they get some stuff of the brine shrimp and of the phyto.

I feed finely chopped shrimp and other sea-foods. Normally, I feed a short while after the lights go out.

jscan1- That was funny.

I agree.

I buy frozen seafood in a bag (clams, squid, shrimp, etc) blend it with cyclopezze to very fine. Freeze it then break off chunks to thaw and use turkey baster to squirt at my LPS. This is MUCH less expensive than frozen aquarium food and is diverse since it comprises about 6 different foods.
