What your temp?

I recently moved of from a 55gal - 20gal sump to a 180gal - 45gal sump/fuge. I am starting all over again from scratch. I had good sucess with all soft corals and now I want to keep very few softys and mostly SPS. I have thrown out the door much of what I learned over the years and am going to go with the majority of your opinions.

I feel that rule of thumb and guide lines are no good of 98 out of 100 peeps are doing somthing different than the guide lines and are having great sucess.

so far the general consensus is between 77°F - 80°F with most of your targets at 79°F

**Thank You all for the info. :D

Well according to my ReefKeep2 it is between 77-79. I like it cool, no chiller just PC fans cooling my tank.

One is 77, three at 80, and one is 85.

What's strange is that everything seems to do best in the tank that runs warm. I am not sure all the hysteria about setting up fans and chillers to get your tank from 82 down to 80 is really necessary. Most reefs vary in temperature and do get warmer then 80 degrees.
