What's ailing my imperator???

I figured I would ask here first since most of the angel nuts hang out in this forum :wavehand:

I've had this Xmas Islands P. imperator for about 3.5 months now. Approximately a month or so ago, it came down with some ich and has been slowly fighting it off. Still eats like a champ, when he can aim straight, that is. It's just a brute and scares everyone off but ain't exactly got much up there in the noggin. Still showing a few spots of ich, as you can see in the pix below. That's not what I am worried about though. If you look on the forehead just above the eye, there is a semicircle that looks like the skin is gone. Is it HLLE? I've never had HLLE on any of my fish before so I am not certain. Any ideas??? Thanks for any pointers.

:( I have no idea Kenny as I am not that knowledgable when it comes to fish diseases, but it sure does make me sad to see this picture

What are you doing to treat the ich.
It's not, IMO, a few spots.

Also, it is definitely suffering from HLLE (you can see the line going down its side also).
What is it eating exactly?

Kenny - he still has a good case of ich on him. You can see all the parasites on him.

There is also a good case of HLLE that is starting. If I were you I would administer garlic to the fish and get selcon and vitachem.

If you are going to treat the fish, get it into a hospital tank and start either cupramine or hyposalinity.

It's been eating Hikari jumbo mysis soaked with Brightwell Amino/HUFA along with live blackworms and whatever large food particles floating in the water column. I'll add garlic to the mix tonight. Is it really necessary to add the other stuff if I am already using the Brightwell?

Haven't done much to treat it since my QT is tied up for the time being. I do have a 40W UV running on the system as of two weeks ago. It has improved a lot in the last month.
