What's going on here??

Can someone tell me what an earth is going on with my toadstool! It looks like the cap is splitting, but a couple of days ago this 'blister' formed on the stalk. It seems happy otherwise, extending polyps and shows no signs if necrosis. It's beig hosted by 4 sexy shrimp atm, but doesn't seem bothered by them. There is also a bicolour blenny in the tank and 2 red leg hermits plus 4 pyramid anails.

Jokes aside, though it looks weird it also looks healthy. It must be some type of new growth, time will tell.

Well the bubble got larger so we suspected it may be a pest of some sort burrowing into the leather. We lanced the bubble which was full of water but couldn't see any pests, flushed it out and gave it a dip. Necrosis set in on the lanced area within 2 days so chopped off the good bits of the captitulum and they seem to be surviving at the moment.
