What's good about close loop? I've seen post about it all the time but I'm just not sure what it does and what so good about it?

a closed loop is a clean way to provide your tank with the proper water current without the need of power heads in the tank. I think the main reason people like them is because you dont see any power heads in the tank (thats why i use one). The way that i have mine setup on my tank is water is drawn into the pump from the main display then goes through a SCWD to alternate water flow back into the tank through 2 outlets.

Does it mean thtat if i have two ecoteck power heads giving me about 6000gph then i don't need close loop? Or it somthing more then that?

Nope, that's it, just water flow. A LFS has an 4 way Oceans Motion hooked up to a closed loop with the OceanMotions revolutions They get some incredible flow that is constantly changing.

I got a smaller one called a Squirt on my 40g tank no revolutions though. I'm now trying to figure-out if I should go with this for my 75g or use Tunze or Vortech pumps. A lot of people with bigger tanks and closed loops have switched to these pumps.

I run a closed loop but think I will be switching to the Eco's. Because of more circulation and less power consumption. Not to mention it will be quiter in the living room. I will also have more variety of current selection. I wish some other closed looper's would chime in and see how they feel about the differences about the two choices CL or Eco's. I know there is a bit of a price difference but in the long run you will make it up in the electric bill. IMO the Eco's are a much better choice now than CL's. Technology is winning the game right now as far as I'm concerned.

If you read Marc Levenson's article on Sumps he makes a good case for not having the majority of your flow come through the sump. He favors a closed loop to limit the sump flow to about 5X the tank size.
