whats good size skimmer for 75 to 200 gallon tank?

i am planning to purchase a skimmer. i want one that is efficient. it will sit on my 29 gallon tank. this will be use for 75 gallon and possibly for future 200 gallon tank. any recommendation? i also want one that is not too much for my wallet. thank you

I would suggest getting one that will best fit a 200 gallon. There is a coralife superskimmer 220. That might be overkill for a 29 gallon... i'm not sure though

A G3 would be a good place to start. Can always mod it and increase its eff.

depends on what you can or are willing to spend

I have a ASM G3 ($250) & a ER 12-2/RC500 ($800)

the difference in quality is huge & the ER pumps seems to work a LOT better as well. I would consider a ASM if that's what you can afford a G3 as the smallest, probably a G4+/x or whatever it's called or a similar ER. The have blems every once in a while & you can save 10-20% off their normal price. If you can swing it definantly do the ER

You can also simply watch the RC classifieds & wait for something to pop up there. LOTS of great skimmers from other companies out there as well...... that pop up quite often
