So about 6 months ago I bought a pair of ocellaris clownfish from someone who bred them. They were pretty small at the time (maybe an inch?), but I don't know how old they were. Well yesterday one of them went carpet surfing, so now I'm looking to add another, but don't want a sex compatibility problem.
When we first got them, the one that's still alive seemed to be the dominant one, but in the last month or 2 the carpet surfer seemed to be the dominant one.
For the experts out there, do you think that the fish I still have is female, male, neither or no way to even take a guess? I know the safest thing is to get small one from a LFS, but I would prefer to get a slightly more mature one if possible.
