What's the accepted minimum time between transfers?

I'm using TTM to begin quarantine. I know 72 hours is the maximum time between transfers, but what is the minimum time, before another 72 hour period is required at the end? Sometimes, I'm unable to push it into the 71st or 72nd hour, so I do the transfer at 69 or 68 hours, but if I do that repeatedly, I'm building up a deficit by the last transfer period, possibly warranting an additional period. Is there a rule that allows you to know when you have to add another transfer, based on the amount of deficit built up, in total?

For example, if I transfer at 65 hours for 4 transfers, I'd have a deficit of 28 hours by the last move. Would I still be ok with 4 transfers, or do I need a 5th?

Thanks, that's what I thought. Is there any literature out there that shows how much time you can "shave" off from each transfer period, before a 5th becomes necessary?

Well I think the fourth transfer is for added measure. You first short by a few hours so that few hours ich drops to bottom it'll take 3 days to hatch so when you do your second transfer those that finally drop won't hatch yet. If I'm understanding it 12-14 days is all you need.
Butty it won't hurt to do one more if you want. I've don't 12-14 days been good so far.

I would say 48 hours. I have done 2,2,2,2,2,2 cycles before with great success.
