Whats the average price for a 90 gal tank?

Bought a new house so I now have an excuse for a new tank! I want to upgrade from a 50 to a 90.


I have a used 90 gal acrylic that came with a stand I got for free at a MASLAC raffle but its pretty scratched up, Im debating if its cheaper to just buy a new one.

Im also tempted to go glass and not have to worry about a piece of sand getting in the magnet cleaner and scratching up anything.

what are the going prices for a 90 gal acrylic vs. 90 gal glass? So far I havent found a good shop in Rancho Cucamonga yet, and Im scared of setting foot in a petco or petsmart.

new acrylic is in the 300-500 range depending on the manufactor and glass is in the 200ish. why don't you just polish out the scratchs on the acrylic, it'll cost you maybe 6-7 bucks if you do it yourself.

I did, I spent a good 2 weeks polishing the scratches out with a kit from marinedepot, the result was now the whole tank looks ' hazy" with tons of very fine scrathes. When I filled the tank with water it still looked hazy and I could see some of the deeper scratches still.

did you use the sand paper one of the liquid stuff from novus? the novus stuff works a lot better.
