I've had 2 Milwaukee regulators solenoids go out on me before trying the Reef Fanatic brand which some people had been saying good things about (definitely more expensive than one regulator, but definitely not two, lol...). In my opinion, the Reef Fanatic is a superior product.
The adjustment valve on the Reef Fanatic allows a much easier precision adjustment (much smoother) and the LED light showing when it is on is a great feature. One of the possible weak links on the Milwaukee is the bubble counter built in to the regulator, which could allow liquids to leak in, or on it while filling. One other benefit to the Reef Fanatic regulator is that the working pressure is preset, which means no adjustment there, or damaging a guage if you've cranked something wide open instead of shut.
That being said, there are quite a few people that have not had trouble with the Milwaukee.
After purchasing a regulat. I read several posts that state what Clutch posted. He's not the only one that has stated that the aqplants has the best regulator going.
Phishlet the JBJ reactor is their any way to reduce the pressure on the outlet of the regulator. My regulator says that it's factory set and the pressure is about 20# I would like to have it about 10#. Is your regulator adjustiable.
