one more question, Do i need to buy the ph calibration fluid or can i just buy DI water from the supermarket since the ph of that should be 7?

Buy the package from the manufacturers website its $25 or so less the MD.

About $250 w/ base unit, temp probe, and DC8; MD price is $273.95 for the same package. Or you can get them to price match.

You really might want to give the Aquatronica a look, it should soon have a webserver and right now it has many items that Lighthouse lacks. Eg Salinity probe, Unlimited Level Sensors, Software is updatable online, Almost unlimited amount of probes, powerstrips etc can be plugged into it.
