Whats the color of your skimmate from your skimmer?

just wondering what colors peoples have been getting. i have experienced them all. my first tank skimmer used to produce only black thick gel like stuff on the walls no liquid. them my old 30's skimmer would produce liquid that would vary in color from light tea to dark tea depending on settings. now my new coralife skimmer on the 55gallon has produced a rainbow of colors. also depending on the settings I can get only a dark froth..........a light tea colored liquid....and sometimes even a medium green colored liquid.

Here is what I pull from my AquaC EV-120 on a regular basis. I'm pushing a little more flow through it with a QO3000. I definitely noticed an increase in output when I swapped over from my Mag5. I'd say I get about 1/4 -1/2 gallon a week depending how wet/dry I want to run it.

Surprisingly, when I was using my modded SeaClown, I would get a nice almost black skimmate. But there just wasn't that much quantity being produced.

yuck Wes.....I get the same color as Ken...nasty dark brown....about a quarter cup a day....more or less.....I will have Wes taste it to see if it meets the consistency of nasty....

mine taste like cool aid. is that bad? not skimming properly? tasted like sprite before but not common. cool aid taste is more normal for me. should i aim for sprite taste or cool aid taste?

Dark dark green - brown, and I don't think it could smell any worse! I run a Turbo-Flotor 1000 on an Ocean Runner 2700 and am filling the collection about twice a week. My puppy (4 months) seems to like the smell of it. I even caught her licking the collection cup lid once. Now every time she licks my face I think of that...

Dark green/brown (similar to above picture) for my Berlin turbo; light green/brown with my AquaC Remora - all in all, they are probably taking out the same amount of junk since the Remora generates skimmate faster.

I get the same color on my Turbo-Flotor 1000 multi; I am getting ride of my 1000 since it is "too cheap" at times.

Bought a aquaC. coming in Monday..

My Deltec produces thick black-dark brown chunky skimmate. I empty it about 2 times a week depending on my feeding habits and such.
Smells like death, make you want to gag when cleaning the collection cup......:eek2: :lol:

my turbo always has chunks in it and today it is dark green/black. Still think the skimmer sucks.

I cleaned it last night (weekly thing). I will take a pix in a few days. It is weird for 3 weeks it was like tea; now it is really dark...weird. 348 mv in the day.
