What's the new "HOT" coral for 2006 LPS or SPS

Hey guys can see it now.Honey bought this new coral for the tank.It was only a couple thousand for a frag.Might all well get the divorce papers ready.Or you better to go out and get a big rock for her finger!Just to keep her happy!
It be my luck buy something like this. And have FedX screw up on it's arrival ! Now you have a dead coral, and out a couple thousand bucks.Talking about being a real KILLER coral.

Alot of people around here seem to be talking micros. I know there aren't new but they seem to be hot( at least ) around here.

"don't know if "HOT" is the word. I'd think FEVERISH would be a better term"

Forget feverish..... i say plain retarded

#1 If a coral is that rare, leave it in the ocean. We are reef hobbyists, not nihilistic consumer war-pigs.

#2 jman77 - change your avatar, I just threw up in my mouth a little.

#3 All caulerpa tanks in '06!!! No sand, no rock, no corals, no fish, no inverts....just acres of green slimy spaghetti! $38,999 for a frag of my caulerpa....ultra explode your cortex and scald your optical nerve rare!!!

Rainbow Halimeda - Only $500 per frond

I have noticed some nice Leptastrea sp. coming in.

Whether or not they will be hot/rare in the eyes of the hobbyist is up to the hobbyist. No one should be led around on a leash by someone who puts their last name on a coral that they have proclaimed to be "rare".

I got a frag of Leptastrea purpurea or Leptastrea aequalis about 2 years ago.
It has developed into a nice little colny, really tough coral.
Nice, but so hardy it won't make it to the "red carpet". :)

Encrusting Monti's are really hot in the Pacific NW right now from what I gather. The Superman's, Danae's and all that.

Thats not true in any hobby. In every hobby, you will find those who want recognition, uniqueness or just pleasure knowing they have something someone else doesnt.

I didnt read through all the posts, but its going to be the "blue" Xenia. Or at least thats what I think.
