whats the original watermelon echino?

OK so whats the original watermelon echinophyllia coral? the tubs one? or the pink tyree one? from what ive seen everyoen thinks its the tyree pink one but ive also heard that tubs watermelon was the original too. so let me know so i which one is which? and also is the tubs one worth just as much as the tyree pink one?

The tyree echino sells for less than the pink watermelon.

Honestly...neither, it looks a lot like the Aquascene Golden eye chalice, another LE that you can look up. Here are some comparison pics from my tank...I have the Aquascene, pink watermelon, and the tubs(at least I believe it is though not confirmed)...The pink watermelon is really, really pink, no doubt about it, and the eyes are a yellowish/greenish color, not golden or straight up yellow. The tubs has more blue in the base with a muted reddish tinge and really yellow eyes. The Aquascene ha really golden yellow eyes with a reddish/burgandy base and the green leading edge that they all exhibit.

i think alot of people mistake the alien eye with a watermelon. i got my watermelon from romel @ ultimate frags a yr. ago he told me it was the tubs and that it was the original lineage

proboscis do you have a pic of yours? My pic above is supposed to have lineage back to atlantis as the original watermelon chalice, but i think he baught their orignal watermelon chalice not THE original watermelon

From my understanding.........The original pink watermelon, 1st came from Ron at Reeftec. Hugo got his piece from Ron. Steve Tyree got his piece from Hugo.

Thanks for all of the compliments . All Delight's lineage sounds a lot like what I have heard as well. Atlantis states theirs is not "the" original pink watermelon, it is the Atlantis watermelon chalice, very pretty none the less.
