Whats this clown doing?

Sometimes this may happen if they have a disease on their outer body. He may be trying to get a parasite off... Or it could just be a random behavior! :)
 
I doubt it is. I always though they just did it because they could act like they're swimming, Mine will swim in front of my K4 and then stop and let the flow shoot them across the tank and then do it again. Maybe mine are just extreme lol
 
I also just put in a pair of tank raised clowns. They did the exact same thing. I actually shut off one power head as I felt I had a bit too much flow in the tank for these small guys. I've noticed the activity decrease as they become more and more comfortable as time goes on. Last night one still slept in the top corner of the tank, the other bedded down in the rocks. Can't wait till the tank is aged enough to get a anemone in the tank.

tank raised clowns like flow..i think it comes from when born about the only thing in the tank may be an airstone.my maroons have done it for years now....whata personality they have
