Yesterday, one of my two tr ocellaris clowns was nipping at my sebae nems tentacles every so often. What does this mean? Is he trying to get used to the sting? They have never hosted in the nem, btw.

Nice pics! Is that clown now hosting? I have had 2 rbtas since late april probably and the sebae maybe since early June, probably late may. Do you think the clown will eventually host?

Yeah, I have been lucky. Both of my clown pairs were hosted almost immediately.
I don't think oscellaris naturally host sebaes (malu or crispa) but they will often adapt to them as well as the BTA. Just give it time. And I would say the tentacle biting is probably a good thing.

I've had 2 RBTA and a Amphiprion frenatus in the same tank for almost a year now. Clownfish not in the least interested in the RBTAs then one day I was checking on the tank and Clown is associated with both. Don't know why the sudden change, I had accepted that my clown would never associate. I'm happy about it though.

Wow Postal, those are incredible pictures. Mine was also biting the tentacles and I wondered what it meant but just figured it was part of the process and didn't pay much attention to it. Glad I was right in the assumption that it is no big deal like most other things in this hobby haha.
