whats unique about your reef

I have a yellow clown goby that hosted a derasa clam...until I killed the clam. Now he hosts a lobo.

Beautiful Bongo!

What do you feed yours?

See- therein lies the problem=

If I told you what I feed it, you might feel you could go out, get one and feed it the same thing. But you couldn't since each one eats something different.

That being said, I feed frozen cyclops and mysis but he only likes the cyclopeeze. The mysis are for the fish and corals.

only a 2.5gal HOB fuge for filtration. No sump, no skimmer, no hob filters....... Keeping SPS, LPS, Softies, Shrooms, Zoas......And I've got this little guy in my reef.

I know i used to run it, and it's still hanging off the back, but it hasn't been on for over 4 months. I guess I should change the sig. around huh? :)

No sump, no skimmer.

Lights, powerheads, heaters and that's it for my 240. It's a new setup around three months old but my 275 did fine a while back and I did the same.

Large macro grove in the center of the reef. Key element.

Barebottom, but with rocks covering the entire floor. False sandbed around the front to give the illusion of having sand. 4" sandbed in the macro grove.

I have never made a purchase using a credit card. All purchases have been for cash or debit card.
I sold a Ford Bronco for $1100 cash and I started my reef with that cash.

it is an ongoing science experiment that has gone horribly wrong.
and, my oldest coral is a non-photo solitary stony polyp at 18 years. it lives in the sump in the DT overflow stream.

My small sump/refugium (24inchesx6x12high) sit on top of my reef and the water is pumped from the display up to a diy skimmer . From the skimmer to a small refugium--to a RSB--back to the sump and into the reef via gravity. Works great but have shortcomings .
Thinking about having an aquarium made with the sump built into the back of the aquarium. (still trying to figure out how to do it and run the skimmer in it and a small sump or refugium) plan so far 30x36 x24 it will be a cube display so the 6 inches will be the sump or refugium .
