what's wrong here

this piece of coral got knocked off the rock it was on and when I picked it up off the sand i found this weirdness on the back of the coral.

Yep thats Red bubble algea. Its not that bad

not THAT bad, but it can spread just like green bubbles algae

yeah, i picked it off. I have a small colony of green bubble algae I'm not sure what to do about. I got a emerald mathrax crab, but he doesn't go any farther than his rock, which has no bubble algae. not sure how much I trust mathrax crabs with my small fish.
