Everytime I come down to the tank, my HT just hangs out in this corner. But as soon as he smells food, or if I open the canopy, he's out and about. He stays out as long as I'm by tank. But he retreats to the corner when I leave. Should I be concerned?
Then I wouldn't worry much about it. Some fish take longer to acclimate than others. My male crosshatch will hide from me when I come up to the tank to feed even though he knows I mean food. Still scared from the capture I suppose

I don't believe so. He's the biggest fish in my tank. It's living with a moorish idol, long nose hawk, and various other flasher wrasses, as well as a mated pair of smaller blue throat trigger.
