Please excuse the crapiness of the picture. It was one of those point and shoots so I couldn't adjust focus or exposure. Anyways, here's the best shot I got of my Hippo

I'm not sure what to make of it. It looks like brownish lesions all over his skin. Some are raised like pimples and some, especially around his face look like the flesh was eaten away. Could this be some form of ich? HLLE? Fungus?

I've had him in my QT for about 6 weeks now, going through 2 separate treatments of hyposalinity and i'm not sure if it's helping him any. I need to know right away if I need to continue isolating and treating him or if putting him in better water conditions would make this go away because sadly, there isn't much filtration in my QT aside from a HOB wet/dry.

Please advise.

The raised pimple looking spots could be some type of worm, try treating with Prazipro...If the filtration is not good, do daily water changes [if dosing Prazipro, be sure to add proper amount to new water]

The areas where the flesh appears eaten away could be MHLLE..Better nutrition, vitamins and better water quality will help..These fish are prone to MHLLE
