I came home from work today to find it laying on its side. Its fins are turning white. What could it have to cause this?

give us history of the fish and everything else

I assume its in a QT now and a new fish ?

is the QT cycled ?

I've had it for about 2.5 months. I purchased it from a hobbiest that was getting out of the hobby. I did do the Tank Transfer when I first got it to make sure it did not have ich. Its in my DT now as its been fine in there for over two weeks. Its was eating everyday 3-4 time a day. My tank is a 300 gallons.

Check Ammonia. Maybe just do a large water change, that always seems to help, as long as the new water is similar in pH and temperature. Give us some water parameters if you can.

Param are fine. This tank has been up and running for a couple of years. I have 9 other fish that are doing just fine which is a small bio load for this 300 gallon tank. They been in the tank just as long as the tank been up. It also has sps and lps thriving. The Naso is the biggest and the newest addition of all the fish. Its aprox 7" long. The other fish ranges from 2" to 5".
Does anyone know why would the fins start turning white?
