whats wrong with my snowflake eel?

My eel hasnt come out of the rocks for 2 days. It is under a rock in the sand doesnt even poke its head like usual, doesnt come out to eat. Does anyone know what might be happening to it?:mad2:

How long have you had the eel? Last feeding? How often do you feed? How large is the eel?

Tank/water info?


Eels can be cryptic at times, and 2 days is not out of the ordinary.

80gallon tank. About 4 months. Every day once a day two cubes of mysis, sometimes i feed fresh clams, or fresh squid and or fresh shrimp along with krill. The eel is about 12-15 inches cant tell to pricesly

Its likely normal behavior. 2 days is certainly nothing to worry about at this point. Just watch and continue to offer food on the regular schedule.

Also, i know you didn't ask, but Personally i would reduce feedings a bit and eliminate the mysis all together.
