What's the tank? I'm not a fan of any of these fish unless they are with lps or soft corals, even then in a small tank I've always had to eventually remove them.

Circus goby gets my vote; they are shy but very neat fish.

I am going to have a 30 gallon reef with mostly SPS and was going to try to breed one of these clown gobies later in the year.

Green definitely, but if you are going to have a small SPS reef watch out. Make sure your corals are big or else breeding clown gobies will probably kill frags. These aren't meant for the fruit stand frag collector, but more for someone with very large established colonies of SPS or the coral will suffer.

FWIW, they can be bred without coral, if you really are interested in breeding this species and it can be done in a very small tank, that maybe you could tie into your SPS tank for stability if you don't want to risk the corals.

Good luck!

It would be a toss up between the green and the citron. I assume you know that the citron is much bigger than the clown gobies.

I was planning on the clown goby in my soon to be running 20 gal AIO. I was planning to have LPS but not sure about the Sps. I really like the frogspawn. Should I wait Until the coral is larg before I add the fish? What was the reason you would have to remove the Clown Goby?
