When and where is the next big event?

Likely there's a CFM event...maybe someone on here will know. Most of the fishy events seem to occur in the fall.
 
The CFM is usually in Ontario in mid to late March. I have heard it was happening but I haven't seen an official announcement.
 
Sorry. Coral Farmer's Market. It is small compared to MAX or Reef-a-palooza but fun and a very different vibe. There are quite a few hobbyists and a bunch of coral businesses that set up in a Hotel ballroom and sale/trade corals.
 
I checked the CFM website this is what i found
"Please note that in 2012 we will be scheduling the seventh annual SW-CFM coral show to occur 1 to 2 months later then normal. Right now we are targeting late April or May. As soon as we get the event scheduled, this web site will be updated. "
 
Ohhh if it oc I'll make it finally. But if at the fair grounds I don't think it will be free any more. It's aight though I'll still make it :)

Steve's business model for CFM requires access to a relatively inexpensive venue and OC Fair is certainly not that; trust me
 
I personally think CFM should change their name as they don't grow corals anymore. Just cut and sell wild, aquacultured, maricultured whatever, which is fine, lets just not pretend like the show is selling captive raised and fragged corals. **EDIT- I will say not all, but most anyway... the named corals for however many months but still... I enjoy going and seeing all the nice stuff and meeting friendly people, I just feel like the name is a lie...

I wonder if coral vendors aren't seeing it profitable for them? I even noticed RAP had less coral vendors this past year. For instance Cherry Corals isn't going. WWC and Reef Odyssey, they were RAP vendors in the past but not at RAP 2011.
