When can I put him in the tank?

I have a purple Tang that developed ICK. I have had him in a QT for 1 week now. I have droped the salinity to about 1.014. I have given him 3 25 minute formulan baths the first was about 45 minutes. He is looking good with no signs if ICK. At what point do I start to raise the salinity back up and put him back into the tank?

SG needs to be at 1.009 for 4 weeks..then you slowly bring it back up and WAIT another couple of weeks to make sure he's okay..Make sure to monitor PH and ammonia

No..The ich on the fish is well protected from any chemicals or freshwater dips. I wouldn't bother with the Formalin dips, its just adding to the fishes stress

She's right. No shortcuts. 1.009 for 4 weeks, fishless display for 8 weeks is the only way to get rid of ich besides copper. It's a big pain, but it works. My display is now ich free for 3 months. It's great to look at my tank and enjoy my fish with no spots.
